Constructions of gravity dam was completed. Constructions of sluice (RB & LB) was 68% completed. Constructions of spill structure was 92% completed. Constructions of earthen bund (LB & RB) was achieved 93% physical progress and construction of bridge over Gurugal oya dam & installation of radial gates were achieve 52% and 62% physical progress respectively.

Overall physical progress of the project was 93% at the end of July 2016. Allocation for the year 2016 was 40.410 Mn. & Cumulative expenditure at the end of July 2016 was Rs. 718.87 million.
