• GCF Knuckles

The GCF Knuckles project enhances the harmony of thriving forests and diverse wildlife with sustainable livelihoods. By addressing both conservation and community needs, the project contributes to preserving the unique biodiversity of Knuckles while uplifting local livelihoods.

The project supports 1.34 million people (51.4% women) through climate-resilient livelihoods while safeguarding 346,000 hectares of ecosystems. It focuses on land management, including streamside protection and sustainable agriculture; financing mechanisms, like green value chains and payment for ecosystem services; and institutional capacity building, with governance frameworks and rural advisory services.
